Handoko Yoniadi

            Was born in Pontianak, 12th March. He started his music education at age 12 through his school and at age 14 he seriously started to learn and play violin with Ms. Julia. He studied under the guidance of Ms. Julia for 3 years and therefore after that he managed to learn by himself through any media sources he could find.

            Handoko has participated in numerous musical events while he’s studying in the Conservatory of Music. There are Christmas Carol (2012), Classical Night (2013), and Gloriously Together (2014) orchestral concert that is held by the UPH’s Symphony Orchestra conducted by Dr. Tomislav Dimov. He also participated with LVCCO (Lippo Village Camerata Chamber Orchestra) under the bayton of Ms. Therese Wirakusuma and also performed together with the orchestra with Dr. Chan Tze Law as the guest conductor (Associate Director of Singapore’s Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music).

            In December 2015 he participated with Jakarta Concert Orchestra in a Hymn of Praise concert under Mr. Avip Priatna. And in Februari 2016 he also participated in a concert of The Tribute to John Williams with Twilite Orchestra under the guidance of Mr. Addie Ms. He also participate in a masterclass held by Dr. David Fruhwirth from Austria and also became a violin soloist in a concert held at Russian Culture Centre. His latest masterclass was with Prof. Sigmund Thorp in mastering conducting skills.

            He finished his senior recital performing Mendelssohn, Vivaldi, Beethoven and Piazzolla in March 2016 and soon going to be graduated as the bachelor of music. His main activity now is teaching violin, widely performing in several orchestras and conducting ensemble. He successfully leads the ensemble of GRII Bintaro in performing Bach Brandenburg Concerto no. 3.
